Dear Parents:

The Board of Almadina Language Charter Academy would like to extend their best congratulations on The Eid Al Adha and the New Year occasions.

We would like to thank parents who participate in the board election in November. At the same time, we would like to invite you all to participate in the school activities, such as monthly school parent council or volunteering at school campuses. We also like to hear from you about any plans or initiatives that you may have and that could improve the school and students’ education.

This board will work with the school administration and staff for a period of two years to achieve all the goals and objectives that we set for better education for our kids.

We would like to share with you some of our goals for the next two years:

    • Parent Volunteers: We invite all parents to participate in all school activities, volunteer for student trips and attend our monthly campus parent council activities.
    • Academic achievement: The board will continue with your support the effort that started a few years ago to improve the students’ academic and make Almadina one of the best schools in the city.
    • Arabic Program: The International Language Committee will continue to improve the program with plans to hire more certificated teachers to teach International languages to our kids and purchase more books and materials to improve the program.
    • Technology: The board is planning to increase the number of computers in the school, and make sure that all computers are functioning. There is also a plan to introduce a computer interactive system that will enhance the communication between the teacher with both the students and parents. All board email addresses are posted on the newly updated Almadina School website at www.esl-almadina.com/info/board.html.
    • Busing: As you may know, we are always facing a deficit in the school budget regarding the busing service that the school provides for the students. In the last few years the board was able to save some of these deficits by utilizing the service. We will work hard to maintain the quality of busing service for the majority of our students.
    • School registration Cap: Due to the continuous improvements of the school on all aspects, more parents are willing to register their kids in Almadina. The current school registration cap is 600 FTE, + ECS.  That’s caused a waiting list for some students in order to join the school. We will work with the Ministry of education to increase the registration cap to more than 1000 students to give more opportunity for the parents to register their kids in Almadina. In addition, we are investigating the opportunity of getting a third campus for the school.
